All though Ontario Knife Company sell a lot of knives in the private market, most of there sales are to the military. For many many years they have been one of the biggest suppliers of military knives to the U.S. military. With knives and tools such as the M7 bayonet, the USAF Survival Knife, M1942 Machete, the Navy MK3 MOD 0 diving/survival knife, the Aircrew Survival Egress Knife, the USMC OKC-3S Bayonet, and the M9 bayonet. This is a petty impressive list. As you can see they have been very involved it the defense of the U.S for some time. The Aircrew Survival Egress Knife, or the ASEK is there newest contract.
The Aircrew Survival Egress Knife is quite a project. It has to meet a list of functions. These functions are a Plexiglas breaker, hammer, saw teeth, serrations, spear holes, lanyard hole, and a insulated guard. It also has a anodized aluminum strap cutter, screwdriver and a honing rod, as you can see this is quite a knife.
Some of there commercial knives witch are just as good as there military cousins are. the spec-plus series. the Freedom Fighter series also. the pommels and hilts on these knives are metal. Among many others. Ontario Knife Company makes a very wide variety of knives. They make sporting and outdoor knives as well as a large selection of kitchen cutlery. Ontario knife Company has a sister company called Queen Cutlery, and they are well known for there pocket knives.
Another thing that sets Ontario Knife Company apart other then its long history with the U.S military is there collaborations, and willingness to work with people out side there company. To work with big name designers like Bram Frank a famous Bowie Knife expert, and Bill Bagwell. OKC was able to make some lower cost renditions of Bill Bagwell’s famous designs.

Ka Bar Cutlery Inc. makes great knives
Ka Bar got its name after a letter that was written to them. It was a very poorly written letter. The author of the letter said how one of there knives saved his life when he was attacked by a bear and his gun was not able to kill it. The only thing that they where able to read was “k a bar” and the knife manufacturer choose to use this as there name.
